Hiya guys,
Ok, done something rather stupid......... told Father in law I could probably knock up a website for him.. not happening
I downloaded the 30 day trial of Dreamweaver CS4 (Good job its a bloody trial if I had paid for it i'd be a little miffed
) as I found a lot of people giving DWCS4 a good writeup but there probably HTML Guru's lol
Anyways, is there someone here that has a couple of hours I can reward with a few Paypal pints of ale, and could help me out?
I've already sorted a domain name and hosting asit was going to happen whether it was me or someone else, I just need help now to set it up as its all gobble da gooky to me
I can say that I have got the site hosted with FASTHOSTS who also have a neat SITE BUILDER application for people like me.... the only trouble is its pretty basic
If I tell you what i've done so far.... u can choose to help.. or not lol I wouldnt blame you either... god im such a pillock!
Dad runs a car restoration business, its doing "OK" but not brilliantly, and he wanted to get site up n running to basically show some of his work, little info on the company ect ect and I said YEAH no problem!
I had a couple of things on the PC already, Anim-FX and Mix-FX which if you dont know are flash based that let you create some effects with no knowledge whatssoever GREAT i thought
Created a little FLASH intro that I intended to put on the first page people saw.... and it looked great..... with some flying arrows and the company name.... just to show him something, he was well impressed......
*NOTE TO SELF - DO NOT TRY TO IMPRESS SOMEONE IMPORTANT IF YO CANNOT FOLLOW IT THROUGH!*
So ... site builder.... doesnt support SWF files..... mhhh
phoned em up, they DO support swf, and every other sort of thing under the sun, just not through SITE BUILDER its for basic site creation only, cannot handle things like SWF
So...... I need someone who knows what there doing and could possibly teach me?
If anyones up for a challange, good deed for the day, rewarded in heaven and saving a life.... MINE.... then please let me know
