hi all,

I was messing aroung with my (now 3 hhd's) and one of my ide drives is now incesseable. When i try to open it saids "drive is unforrmatted. would you like to format now?"

I havn't forrmatted in the chance that i'll be able to pull the 110GB of stuff on it that i want to keep.

It's just a storeage disk so no windows files involded. In disk manager it has given it a new letter and is showing it as 35GB heathly (its a 120GB drive!!)

is there any free programs out there that will recover it for me????

any help would be good.

cheers

hay thanks for the reply,

I gave it ago but it didn't like it due to the fact there's no file system on my fudged drive!!! (when we all know there is!!)

thanks anyway,

any more suggestions?

You could try a piece of software called Partition Table Doctor. You can get it from: http://www.ptdd.com/ I think you have to buy it if you want it to actually repair the drive, but i used it once when I lost about 300 gbs worth of music and video, games etc. Worked a treat for me! GL
