HELP - Dead PSU

Hello,

It appears that my PSU might have blown (Enermax Liberty 500W ELT500AWT). The PC started to boot up and then froze on the Windows XP load up screen and the lights on my fans started to pulse off and on and then the computer died and i could smell slight burning smell.

Know my PC won't turn on or anything. The PSU is less than a years old so if it has blown is it covered under manufacturer's warranty?

Enermax are covered by a 36 month (3 Year) Warranty so you need to RMA it mate:

Yes it is covered - if its less than a year old the retailer you bought it from should be your first point of contact.

cool, thanks for the speedy replies. At least it's not all bad news then if i can return the power supply.
