I purchased a U2713HM which had issues and Dell have offered to replace with a U2913WM

Is this a good option to aceept?

They were originally going to replace with the U2711 which apparently is now end of life and connot provide.

Thanks

ive not had chance to test the U2913WM but have it with me now. it depends on whether you want the ultra wide res / size i guess? will have a full review of the U2913WM on TFTCentral within the next few weeks so you could maybe hold off for a few weeks to decide based on how it looks in the review?

I got a replacement U2711 today from Dell via Germany (not sure if they use the same stock for all of Europe). Can't tell its a refurb apart from no cables etc coming with it.

Its has a better panel + more ports on the back, its over-all a better monitor.
Biggest downside is that it comes with a aggressive anti-glare coating on the screen that makes the picture look grainy. I haven't seen it myself, just what other people say.

I'd be politely asking for the Dell U3011 in your position.
Like your broken U2711, its a 16:10 aspect ratio monitor, so no sharp changes in shape, just bigger, an higher resolution.

An its not your fault it broke, Dell should be upgrading you to a better/bigger screen for the hassle, not pushing you to a niche screen size.
Besides your Dell 2711 Costs £600, while the Dell 2913WH costs less at £480...

Just my 2 pence.
