Ok this is a bit of a head scratcher.

List of parts in PC:
OC Force mobo (water cooled)
4770k cpu (water cooled)
2x 780 in sli (water cooled)
XFX 1050watt PSU
2x 8gig ram
Creative sound card
3x SSD
1x hard drive
All done in acrylic tube. So a right pain to remove.

Ok, front switch on 900D does not start pc (well occasionally it does)
Switches on mobo do not turn on pc.
Have set up keyboard and or mouse to switch on pc, this doesn't work.
when pc is on and I set it to sleep mode, nothing gets it out of sleep.
When I pull the plug out the wall and push it back it, sometimes this will make it work, sometimes.
Other times I have to leave it unplugged for a while. Then plugging it back in will start it up.

Any help on this one much appreciated

It use to work ok.
Have set bios on numerous occasions. Even switched bios still not working.
I would have said possible PSU but it's a good one and not very old.

Switches alone on the board not powering the pc would be a big worry for me because I was going to suggest a clean install but that could only relate to sleep issues and if it doesn't even power on with the board switches that is a cause for concern but still it could be the PSU

My new pc was being weird today. The k70 and m65 were both lit up and it was turned off, booted it and had no desktop icons and then it went to sleep without waking so just turned it off and ignored it for tonight.

running latest bios? or beta bios?

sleep resume issues point to ram/voltage setting as it saves resumes from the memory

16gb you might need bit more imc voltage from stock, dunno what they label it as on haswell though,on z77 its cpu/vtt

I'm sure PC should start up at least even if it is faulty RAM. Try removing RAM sticks just to make sure?

could be cold boot?

can test faulty case power switch by swapping the power/reset wires on the motherboard, then try starting pc with reset switch

Sounds like your psu.

I had a very similar issue where my PC would turn on normally. But then if you shut it down, you couldn't power it back up for about 20 mins.

This turned out to be the PSU. Do you know anyone you could borrow one off? Or failing that buy one from a shop and test it. If it fixes the problem then you can always return it and buy a better one online.

Ok little update.
Pulled PSU cables out and linked green to black. Switched PSU on and nothing happened. Switched it off and back on and it started up. Tried again and it didn't work. On off one more time and it worked.
Looks like PSU is not working properly (I hope it's just that). Only purchased 5th August 2013.
Guess I order a new one and if it works ok will have to RMA back to Overclockers.
Though Overclockers don't stock the XFX one anymore

Have replaced PSU with a 1200w Super Flower. All working properly now.
Have requested RMA for XFX PSU, it's not a year old yet!
