Hi guys, I need your help.

I turned in tv on my computer and fell asleep for an hour or so and when i wake up there is sound but no dvi signal to the screen. I have been running my new 2900xt faultlessly for a weeks time and now suddenly I cannot seem to be able to get a signal out of the card???

What should I try before i decide for RMA-time?
When I start the computer the card fan gets running, so it is not totally bust.
The red light on the card turns on very briefly at powerup, but I think to recall it doing so when I first installed it.
Hard to do any diagnostics without a screen-signal. any suggestions?

My spec is as follows:

Athlon 64 X2 4400+
Antec SLK3000B (case)
Tagan TG530-U15 530W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU
OCZ 2GB PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Series
NEC MultiSync® LCD20WGX2
Windows XP x64
Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe
X-Fi Fatal1ty
A Leadtek tv-card (DTV2000 I think)
And two WD 500GB disks and a 200GB (i tried running only one to check if it was a powerproblem)

Thanks

Might sound silly but usually the simplest things work the best, have you checked the cable? :)

Wich cable are you referring to? I have tried taking out the 6 pin cables and putting them back in and even changing wich goes where. The card powers up hence there is power. Just no signal.
I unplugged and reset the DVI-cable too. I guess that would be what you meant obiously.

Has your 2900xt card got a normal TV output like a S-video connection you could try ???

I am running it on my monitor with a Leadtek tv-card.
I should be able to run the monitor over the other output?

I have a remote for my tv-card and it was not able to change channals or anything, so might be more than just no DVI-signal :(

Best thing to do would be borrow a cheap graphics card off a friend to test it before RMA'ing your 2900HD.

Hmm I have tried restarting it a few times. It suddenly kicked into the windows welcome screen with a lot of artifacting and then it turned off again???

I think someone else commented about a similar problem in here......

I got it to restart by pushing my power-button.....

Now I get an image at post at least.... All is back???

Darn strange. Would it be lack of power, a bad card or driver-issues?

Anyways, thanks for your time guys. Hope this was a one-timer.

do you have onboard graphics ? can you take the card out and try running it on onboard gfx either with or without a vga adaptor ? that would equate the card out of the problem.
