Help E6300 underclocked!!

Hi all,

i recently got a new pc ( sig ) and notices that mt cou is only running at 1.4ghz i thought this maybe down to my ram not being able to run at its full speed because my gigabyte mobo is just a cheap crap one im using until the good ones are released, i dont want to raise the fsb to the normal voltage as the intel ICH7 is running at 55oC with a heatsink, i have cpu z and it says my multi is at 7, the bus speed is at 199.5, and the FSB is at 798 and voltage is at 1.15, anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing the problem

The new Intel range slow down when you're not running anything like a game or video file, it keeps the temperature down and prolongs the life of the chip. Don't worry, I was worried at first.

yes i would love to turn it off, i have just ran 2 copies of super pi 32m 100% full loaded both cores and it didnt move an inch of 1.4ghz

ive turned EIST off but has made no difference

well disabled C1E, same problem

Disable EIST C1E and TM2 (thermal monitor 2)

ok, guys done all this ,still the same, what else can i do
