Ok, so iv been out of overclocking for ages. Hench me forgetting what I did to up the speed of my CPU.

I just upped my FSB to 400 and my cpu is still showing 2.4ghz. What ever i seem to adjust i dont get any loss or increase in speed.

Any tips. Any questions :)

Thanks in Advance.

Update. Very odd, looking on my Bios in Advanced under Configure advance CPU Settings

Frequency ; 3.61ghz
FSB Speed ; 1600mhz
Cache L1 ; 32kb
Cache l2 ; 4096kb
Ratio Status ; Unlocked (Max :09, Min :06)
Ratio Actual Valye 9
CPUID ; 6F6

One thing to note that all this info is in Grey?

So why does it say 3.61GHZ...yet in DXdiag it shows 2.4ghz? MEH!

have you disabled C1est, and the other power saving features?
if not, then the bios, will just keep it in power saving mode.

fire up intel burn test or prime95 and have cpu-z open at the same time.
now you should see the true speed ;)

so it should say, fsb of 400, and the ratio of 9
