hi all. have just found this old photo of my dog as a puppy, which i have scanned onto the pc.
link: http://www.kore.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/lucky.jpg
she died a couple of years ago, and as it's one of the nicest pics i have, i was wanting to print it out and frame it, but first i wanted to tidy it up a bit. i have seen posts like this before, and was hoping someone could help me pls. basically i would like it if the pushchair could be taken out of the top left corner, and any other tidying up people think it might need. (possibly lightening the top and corners a little, but i really dont know about these things!)
Thanks in advance!

Best I could do, sorry I'm no expert.

ok, thanks for that so far! can anyone else do anything with it pls? i think maybe the details in her face need to be brought out too, as you cant really see her eyes...
hopefully someone can do something! thanks.

Just a thought, can you see the detail in her eyes etc, in the original photo?

If so maybe it will need scanning in again, I say this from my own experiences of scanning photos, I have found that once on the computer if detail is not there it is very hard to recreate it.
However if you alter the settings on the scanner, this may take a few attempts to get a decent result, you may get a better scan which could then be manipulated easier for a better final version.

As I say, this is just from my own experiences, I hope it helps though, she looks as though she was a very lovely dog.

Indeed it is very hard to get any more detail out of the face, if the original photo has better detail you can scan it again turning up the brightness at scan time. From that image there really isnt any detail to bring out.

ok, i've tried rescanning the other, but her eyes are so dark its not picking it up. i have found this one where her details are more clear, but it has my mum in also, and i shouldnt think you would be able to remove her from it? i will look in the attic this afternoon and see if i can find a better image. all your help is appreciated!

The second is cute :)

I'd be inclined to try taking the original posted image and use the other garden photo to steal detail from. Bit of rotating first and it may work.

Cant right now though, at work.

mr six you have missed the highlight in the corner of the eyes.

its not a major thing but it does make a difference.

I have just had to do some of mine like that also :)

OT: Helium_Junkie, your entry to this months photo competition has no exif embedded.

Bit of a random place to tell me, the discussion thread might have been a better choice :p
Thank you anyway, will post them up when I get home :)

Woopsy, forgot about that thread.

thanks for the replies, sorry i didnt get back to you, have been away for a few days.

MrSix - what you have done looks good, but in the second and third, the eye detail looks a bit scary! I think i will use the second one, but is there any way you could try and tone it back down just a little bit, so that i can see if it prints likew this or slightly less. its hard to tell if its just my screen making them a bit crazy!

Thanks! :)
