Help embedding youtube vid in Wordpress

Hi all, I need some advice. I used to be able on wordpress posts to just copy the Youtube link, take out the 's' in https: and the video would show up when I previewed it. Now I find that if I do that, it just shows the link.

Also I have never been able to get the shortcode to work, so that I can customise the width and height of the embed video. I have tried on Chrome, Firefox and IE11 and no luck. Been trying for the last week, no luck.

The only way I got it to work was this way.

'http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pBmdJEFuFUM'

I have followed the wordpress youtube support page and none of it works. Any help is appreciated as it is getting frustrating now. My site is:

Is it the contrast gameplay video posted today? As its working iPhone 5 via safari.

yes, it was posted today. I got it working by using the line above, but if I try to post the youtube link direct into the post like they say, then it don't work.

What version of wordpress are you using?

Hey, it is 3.8.1, the latest. IT is weird as the last video I added before Christmas it took me forever to get it to work. Think I will have to send an email to their support.

It just started working. I find it best to copy the URL of the Youtube video, paste it into notepad, take out the s on the end of https and then copy and paste it into my post. It seems to works.

if I try to paste it after copying it straight from the address bar, remove the hyperlink and s, then it don't work which is weird but I can live with that. Thanks for all the help.
