Hi all

My setup is Asrock X370 Gaming-ITX/ac AMD X370, Team Group Dark Pro "8 Pack Edition" 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200mhz and a Ryzen 1600X

Its been temperamental from day one but i moved it all to a bigger case and now its stable and cool i thought i would try overclocking. However bumping the frequency into manual just causes my system to not boot. it just outputs nothing not even the USB powers anything. I have to reset the Cmos to get the system to boot again. i can manually set the voltage to 1.4v on the cpu bump it 25mhz on the core and im locked out. no way to get anything back unless resetting the Cmos. any ideas?

Just as a little note, I have once got it to boot at 3.9 with a tiny extra voltage (one adjustment up) and it booted and passed Cinebench fine. System was running stable but i then restarted the machine (did not go into bios) and it then just locked out again until i cleared the Cmos once again. The cinebench score went up a fair bit too so it was running in at 3.9 and CPUZ reported the same.

So frustrating. I think i official hate this mobo

Bios on latest version I update it the second I can,

Ryzen 1600x the ram and mobo listed
Evga 980ti
Evga G2 750watt psu
Samsung SSD
Be quiet dark rock 3 cooler
Plenty of cooling cpu under prime or cinebench never goes over 55c

I have done a google and it seems if you don’t have enough voltage on this mobo for the cpu it just won’t post and cmos reset is the only way. Also some people having to drop ram speed from 3200 to 2900 to get stable... or not go into power cycles (I have had this too) how can such an expensive mobo be so bad?
