I've just replaced a faulty light switch in my son's bedroom, which involved turning off the electricity supply to the upstairs lights at the fuse box. Having turned the supply back on to the upstairs lights at the fuse box, my son's bedroom light is now working again, as are two of the other bedrooms and the bathroom, but the two landing and my daughter's bedroom lights are no longer turning on!

Everything in the fuse box is set to on, I've flipped the upstairs lights switch off then on again in the box, and also turned the whole supply off then on again but no joy.

Any idea what I've done or how to resolve? There was no tripping sound when I first turned it back on again and no other audible suggestion anything untoward had happened so I'm puzzled.

I would check sons light switch you changed. Should there be a live in and a live out to daughters. Maybe only connect one of the wires

Yep - just fixed it! There were three brown wires and I only connected two of them - didn't see the third one when I took the before pics or removed the wires.

All working again thankfully.
