Help find me a lead for old projector?

It's maybe a 1970s projector but the lead I missing, could anyone help me find a lead whether generic or official.

Okay, I’m going with the female plug that fits that male socket being an IEC C9.

If you can get some measurements of the hole and pin spacing, it should be easy to confirm.

I don't think it's the C9 though it's too thin although the pins almost fit.

It turns out it could be a very rare connector which he calls the 5815 plug.

I had someone measure the projector plug and it seems to be same dimensions as this 5815 give or take a mm or so but that's probably due to inaccurate measuring.

This rare plug is almost impossible to find it seems.

There are subtle diferences between the 5815 and C9 and the only one of inportance is that the C9 has no earth connection but the 5815 does. This is the single most important thing.

Nope, watch the YouTube video above, the holes in the C9 are too short, he tries to fit it in.

In Note 2 it says,

These appliance connectors and machting inlets can be regarded as precursors of the woldwide accepted ICE 60320 standard for appliance couplers

They are similar but different enough that they are not compatible.

Anyway those sites don't ship to the UK but thanks anyway.

The plug comes without a cable, I take it I can just attach a lead from a PC kettle lead to the plug, or any lead for that matter?

I got plugs today but I'm not sure which way the live and neutral wires go, I could guess BLUE left and BROWN right, the EARTH is obvious.

Do you think it will matter which way round they go?
