So our internal letter box opening is 255x80mm (280mm screw point to screw point for the external flap). I can't for the life of me find a big enough internal draught excluder, they all seem to be 75mm wide which obviously doesn't cover the hole. I've checked on Screwfix, Amazon, B&Q etc and can't find a single one, let alone one which matches.

Any ideas?

That magflap is just about big enough, but why is the aperture so tiny? It's about half the size of our doors and I feel like a postman with a hard push of a parcel will just rip the thing straight off. The lip around will probably prevent letters making their way in too.

Gah!

If the internal flap and the brushes (they do some exclusion too) are too rigid you end up with all your post scrunched up and lodged in the letterbox,
so there is a path for draughts.
Have now propped the internal flap open with rigid piece of wire and the post arrives in one piece and typically falls on the mat, and the outside flap is closed.
I don't know what the solution is .. the post box needs a re-design

I have that very same problem after fitting a new internal flap. The brushes are simply too stiff so a single letter for instance isn't rigid enough to push through the brushes, unless postie folds it in half. I've removed the lower brush until I can find a system that works.
