not sure where to put this so sorry.
Bascially some reason my monitor (viewsonic vx2025) wont connect to the pc saying there is no signal. i change from using dvi to vga and still doesn't work.
i then have to unplug the psu from the graphics card and then replug it in and then restart pc which then connects the monitor to the pc via the vga cable and whenever i try to change form analog to digital the screen just hangs and then goes back to digital.
I also then can't change windows to go to the correct resolution which is 1680x1050 and atm it's at 1600x1200.
Now i would tihnk ah sounds like monitor problems but i have also just had a similiar problem with a second screen i had where it would turn on only after being off for a while and then if you enable it as the second screen it would switch off and not come back on unless you unplug its power cable and leave it for ages. i sent that back but got me thinking could this be another problem like say the graphic card not working correclty?
Im also thinking is it possible to do tests like download any software that will tell you if any hardware isn't working correctly?
just incase it is how long warrenty do graphic cards usually come with? i got a ati 1900 xtx from ocuk in may 2006 so hope if thats the faulty part i can get a free replacement. also if it does have to go back is there any way that they replace the part first o that im not left pcless for months again like what haapened with my harddrive.
