at home, you?
ok i currently have an asrock 4core1600-glan running 4gb ddr2 elixr, q9550, and an ati radeon 5770 with an everest 85plus 600 watt psu

im now looking to upgrade to dual gfx and ddr3, but as 775 socket is gradually phasing out im running a little short on choice of motherboard, i have not had this chip long and do not really want to upgrade to any other socket chip, now the only mobo iv seen worth it, is the foxconn blackops board but sadly i cannot find one for sale.

for now im only looking at buying the mobo and 2gb of ram then gradually saving to get the other matching gfx card and obviously more ram

so does anyone have any clues as to another motherboard on sale matching the specs i need? i know we cant share links on here to rival sites, so just the name of the mobo will do as i can google for the sites.

at the moment my chip is running at standard 2.8, my ram is just bog standard crappy 800mhz, and the gfx and the gfx card is less than 12 months old so more than likely im just going to purchase another identicle 5770

So I am thinking if you wanna sit on the system for a year or two perhaps a nice Intel® P45 mobo would meet your needs? . . . even with your 4GB of DDR2-800 you could clock your chip up and plop in an extra GPU . . . it's Crossfire PCI-E 2.0 x8/x8 which is fine . . . . if you can pick up a used board even better . . . Not sure its worth you upgrading both your mobo and memory performance wise and DDR3 memory will only get better and cheaper as time goes by and your DDR2 will only increase in value . . .

you didn't buy that rig as part of a pre-built rig? I have almost the same specs as you and I too am going to look at a new 775 board. £89 for the Deluxe mobo in the listings is ok. I would rather have a new mobo tbh. Although I will now have to get better RAM to get any sort of overclock on the 9550 chip...I'll bear this thread in mind when I decide wha to do as I'll probably have a nosey at the route you went down too :)
