Morning all

Just joined the forum - hope you are all doing well :)

I hoping you can help with some recommendations and/or help finding a board.

I currently run a proxmox server for all my home based services. Im currently setup with the following kit:

Motherboard - ASROCK - B365M Pro 4 - https://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/b365m pro4/index.asp
Case - Fractal Node 804 - https://www.fractal-design.com/products/cases/node/node-804/black/
CPU - Intel i9 9900K - https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...-16m-cache-up-to-5-00-ghz/specifications.html
64GB DDR4 ram.

I need to find a suitable board for the i9 that will allow me to install 128gb of ram while fitting the node 804 case.

In its current setup, I have quite a few vms running everyday, docker containers and even some proxmox lxc containers with an m2 ssd as the main os drive/local-lvm store alongside a larger ZFS tank of 4TB spinning drives.

Im getting a little tight on the ram side some days, even with a limit configured for the amount of memory ZFS arc cache can utilise. Due to my node 804 case I need to find a micro atx board that will take 128gb ram if thats something that is at all possible? The problem is that the i9 9900k is now a bit older in age so finding boards on regular shops is getting more and more difficult.

Could anyone recommend a suitable board for my server please?

Im trying to keep the cost down as much as possible. Id quite like to keep the same 804 case as it holds plenty of drives in a smallish footprint.

My other option is to start looking at a new build server, just seems a shame to have to do that when the current cpu is spot on, just ram is the issue.

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Best wishes

Andy
