Help finding alternative drag & drop email editor

I'm desperately trying to find something similar to MailChimp's excellent email designer that will enable me to send HTML image rich-emails.

The one flaw is that it seems near impossible to send one off recipient specific emails; MailChimp being very much targeted at large scale marketing campaigns - otherwise I'd use it.

I'm a working photographer and am at my wits end using laborious workflows to build client proofing emails displaying inline and embedded images.

Have you looked at either using Send Grid (they have a free plan as well. I haven't used the templating engine but as an email service its brilliant) or even using Zurb's Ink http://zurb.com/ink/templates.php for constructing email templates? The problem is that with most of these email services they are designed more with the marketing people in mind rather than the odd specialised email here or there.

I am sure there are others out there equally as good as the two I mentioned and possibly even more that I'm not even aware off.

What exactly are you using the emails for, there might be better options than using email.... Your post reads as if you're sending your clients images via email for review/sign off so I'm thinking more along the lines of online collaboration tools as being an alternative approach
