So i want to make a good start on my 1500 word assignment in which i basically have to talk about two transferable management skills but very annoyingly my friend took my text books thinking they were his and i won't be able to get them back for a while. It's either me being stupid but google doesn't seem to bring much up, i have considered downloading electronic versions of the text books but that would cost me ~£30 which i obviously don't want to do. Bit of a long shot but i don't suppose anyone knows of any good websites or anything?

Thanks a lot,

Flare

Is this a uni project? If so, check out the library.

Also look at online journals. They're quite specific in that they'll give you someone's particular view instead of an overview of what transferable mgmt skills are but they will be far more up to date.

1) Taking the credit for your subordinates' work.

2) Blaming your subordinates for your own failures.

Pretty much every manager I've ever met has those skills, so I'm guessing that they are very transferable.

And don't forget talking BS. And avoiding making decisions.

Transferable as in skills that can be used in management regardless of the industry the manager is working in?

Cheers for the input guys, especially Meridian :p

Fortunately my uni library is open until 11pm so i was able to get some text books out, i am now quite far into my assignment :D

**** licking is quite transferable. All the high up managers are adept at it.
