Hi all, I have the GA-965P-DS3 board and just uninstalled my Graphics drivers and used driver cleaner Pro and updated to the latest ones - as soon as I rebooted I noticed I had no sound and in device manager I have a yellow ? next to Other devices and a yellow ? and a yellow ! next to multimedia Audio Controller.

Now I've tried re installing the driver for this but no matter where I look it won't update. I would have assumed that it would be on the disc that came with the board but it wont find it.

So what I need is the exact name of the driver so I can download the latest version online.

I've looked at the Gigabyte website but cannot find the actual controllers name.

Many Thanks

Thanks but that didn't work.

I downloaded the WDM_R149 driver that you pointed to and it installed fine but nothing has changed.

Still no sound and still both yellow ? & ! in device manager.

Strange thing is it was working fine earlier today, I uninstalled then reinstalled new graphics drivers and now the sound is gone.

I should add that I am using a Soundblaster Audigy 2 not the onboard sound and if I try to install the driver for it it says that no device is installed on my system.

It is installed and securely.

What about installing the UAA first ?

Install (Universal Audio Architecture) Bus driver first before install this function driver)

*Edit*

Disable the onboard sound in the bios if your not using it and get the Soundblaster driver from the creative site. Forget about the Gigabyte stuff if your not using it.

Thanks but thats the problem, onboard sound is disabled in the bios but when I try to install the soundblaster driver it says there is no creative products installed.
