I'm looking to get some parts to complete a build using some of my old PC's components. As I'm a little out of the loop currently, I was hoping I could get some help here. So many parts and things to choose from!
I already have:
CPU: Intel Q6600 /w heatsink
RAM: Corsair 4gb DDR2
MOBO: ASUS P5Q Pro
GFX: ATI (AMD?!) Radeon 4870
SSD: Crucial M225 128gb
Shouldn't need an OS, mouse/keyboard or monitor.
Ideally, To get this up and running I need:
Case - Would like something that's easy to work in and has plenty of cooling.
PSU - I like modular PSUs. I see that the Coolermaster Silent Pro 500w Modular PSU is recommended a lot in other "spec me" threads.
Better graphics card - What're the best value for performance cards these days? 7850s/660Tis? I see that this MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozer III is also recommended a lot by others here.
HDD - Could do with having a big storage drive, something in the region of 1TB. Ideally, would love to have a 256gb SSD as well, but that would come at a later stage.
This PC is going to be primarily used to play such games as Skyrim, and Guild Wars 2.
Budget is probably £300-350. The less used, the better! Any help is much appreciated!
