Help finding short Half Life-esque movie

Saw it on youtube about a year a go or so.

Starts in a science lab and is in the first person perspective. Near the start I 'think' the character finds an object of some sort and then ends up out on the streets. I think when he picks the object up something happens to it e.g. sends out a beam of light or something.

Very Half Life in it's look and was very well done. Please help.

That's pretty sweet, looks like some sort of Half Life/Cloverfield movie. Must be some sort of fanfic or viral, as it uses the HL sounds.
