Hey,

I maintain a local student website and from today I've had problems with the layout in Firefox! I can only assume that it is the Firefox 2.0.0.8 update which it automatically downloaded and installed today that has caused these problems to arise.

Certain pages, with very little content do not display correctly, eg. http://durham21.co.uk/event.asp?eventID=2537 or http://durham21.co.uk/archive.asp

Longer pages work fine as they push the content down. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks,
Alex

I am indeed running adblock, and I know that has an issue with some of the ad's on the left hand side - however I think this is a different problem.

Hm yeah - it rendered fine in a Trunk nightly when you disabled AB+...

Fx2.0.0.8 is throwing these errors:

Edit: But so does 2.0.0.7 :(
It's a semi-known issue (in the sense that someone's mentioned it, but AFAIK there isn't a bug for it).

If it's worth my input, I'm still running Firefox 2.0.0.7 as I haven't restarted it yet.
It looks broken to me in that build, menus running all over the main content.

I'm having basically the same problem but with OcUK. I can't see the OCUK banner, any of the 'new thread' buttons etc, or any of the buttons at the top of the message box for changing text colour etc. I've uninstalled adblock and it's still blocked. I've tried reinstalling firefox and that hasn't worked. I'm not sure what else to try. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Thanks.

Try clearing the cache. Uninstalling Firefox is total waste of time because it won't touch your profile (if it did, you'd then be complaining that your bookmarks had "disappeared") and that's where the majority of these problems originate.
