Hi,

Ok overclocking my opty 146 for the first time here. Now Richdog who had this cpu previously had it running at 3GHz 24/7 at 1.55v. And I am trying to do the same on a DFI-Ultra D.

I have got it to boot into windows at 3GHz @1.5v and it passed super pi 32m, so I then decided to run OCCT for the 30min test and it failed this :( So I tried again with 1.6v running through the chip and still i get a fail on OCCT.

Here is the Bios settings I have at the moment:

The memory divider is on 133. And all ram settings are on auto. (memory is what is in my sig)

LDT/FSB (HTT??) is at 3x
Multi at 10x
PCI Express Fequency at 101MHZ
Cool n quiet disabled.

The BIOS version I am running is: 4.054.0811/09/05

So can i get it stable at 3GHz? What other things should I be doing? Or have i reached the max of the chip and have to back down a few MHZ?

Thanks

Hi,

Ok when i was running OCCT it got to around 54 degrees never went above that.

I basically downloaded the first file on the DFI website this one: NF4LD406.EXE

on this webpage:

http://eu.dfi.com.tw/Support/Download/bios_download_us.jsp?PRODUCT_ID=3471&STATUS_FLAG=A&SITE=UK

SO that should be the 04/06 bios right?

And my memory is in the Orange slots.

Could someone tell me what the options on OCCT should be as this might be the problem? At the moment i have the options set as:

Test Priority - Normal
Memory Used - 64
Max cpu temp - 60

One thing I have noticed is the 12V line on my PSU goes down to 11.50 according to OCCT during the test could this be the problem?

I had my 146 running at 1.55v at 3Ghz, but under load the CPU voltage dropped to 1.45v and it blue screened. I think I'll have to up the voltages again once I get back. Temps seemed fine, although Asus PC Probe is rubbish.

Try increasing the voltage temporarily even more. Also the chipset voltage can have an effect too.
