Hi, I've been getting occasional (every hour or two) BSOD with 0x00000024 stop errors, which are apparently related to Ntfs.sys going bonkers. I've run chkdsk /f/r which came out clean, installed windows 7 upgrade on top of the one I'm running now, hoping it would fix any dodgy windows sys files, and tried dropping my OC back to box-stock settings, all to no avail. Bar formatting and reinstalling, which I'm loathe to do, is there anything else anyone could suggest I try?

I always re-image/rebuild in that scenario to be honest.

/edit But what does the event viewer say?

tried booting in to safe mode? Sometimes this can rebuild some corrupted files.

could try a SFC /scannow from the command line.

Bit of a long shot but it might be worth doing a memtest as sometimes borked memory can cause odd BSODs

Hey, sorry for late reply. Eventually bit the bullet and reinstalled windows 7 ultimate (clean), and one of the first things that happened was a bsod 0x0000012e, but I'm slowly reinstalling etc. to see if that was just a one-off. Memtest came up clean, as did chkdsk /f/r, so I'm going to see how things go now and hope that my 0x00000024 error has been sorted by the clean install and hope my new error sorts itself out after updates. Cheers for replies though.
