What would be better a Nvidia 6600 or a ATI x800 gto 2 (with mod)

have a friend who is trying to make his mind up

An X800 GTO2 modded is about on a par with an X850XT which would eat a 6600gt(and by an even further margin the 6600 which is slower) for breakfast, we are talking about cards that are in different price ranges normally though so it is only to be expected. If there isn't much of a difference in prices then the X800 GTO2 is a bit of a bargain :)
