Hi all,

I'm totally new to DIY computers but I'm currently using a 40in samsung LCD TV as a monitor hooked up to my laptop's DVI output with wireless keyboard and mouse....i'd like my laptop to be a laptop again and ive just been paid so ive decided to build a HTPC!

to be honest ive struggled to choose componants, i've got a pretty healthy budget (up to £700), im not a massive PC gamer, but i do dabble, so it must be ok on that front, and have a HDMI conection. Main functions are blu-ray/HD-DVD playing, photoshop, and (hopefully with the addition of an M-box) some simple music recording/editing.

the system needs to run quietly, thats very important! and preferably without too many LEDs glowing inside!

so far i've picked a case...

an optical drive...

a HDD...

and possibly a processor...

and after that lot i get very confused with mobos, PSUs, RAM and graphics cards!

any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!
