hi, just bought this res and pump
russian image host

Am i right in thinking i can use any of the three holes on the res as an intake and either hole on the pump top as outtake. Also wondering if i could fit a release valve on the front hole on the pump top. thinking of having outtake on the left as you look at the pic and the vlave facing you, if you know what i mean or have I conected it together totally wrong. I have been searching for tutorials on how to fit them but can not find any. the pump is a barrow and the res is bskyki

thanks

I believe that's a barrow spd10s. that's the one I had (until I upgraded) and it's a great pump for the price. As bugbait has said ,you have the res connected to the outlet. Only the left side and front can be used for inlet. The front is preferred as it leads right to the centre of the impeller.
yes that is the pump ;) . I have now set the centre hole as the inlet.

does this look correct. I am not using the top as an inlet as i have no tube for the top hole or does that not matter?
Also I was thinking of putting a release valve on the spare inlet on the pump top, would that be ok

Got a question. I am up and running and I have the fan header connected to the pump/fan header but it is saying that the pump speed is 3000 rpm, it is rated as max rpm of 4000. I can get it to run slower in bios but i can not get it to run at max rated speed, the best it will go is 3000rpm. Any ideas what the problem is.

its only running through a 360 rad and a gtx1080ti its rated at 4000rpm. Tried it on 3 fan headers, it was on the pump header at first so should have enough power. will look at what the flow rate is as well.

at the moment it is running at 2900rpm , wont go any faster and thats 34 lpm flow rate according to bios. My other pump is running as it should. Must be faulty.
