Hi!

Im not totally new, but having trouble getting my 6300 to get anywhere near the speeds most here are hitting.

Read through some of the stickies, but I still get boot problems and crashes.

What i have upgraded to recently is.

Gigabyte GA 965P-DS4
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
GeIL 2GB PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency

*and yes I updated the BIOS to the F6*

Everything that i read here should suggest i should get a great overclock with this gear.

And with everychance that im being an idoit, i wanted to check with all you guys before i ballsed it up badly.

Does anyone else have this setup? can you provide me with your BIOS settings?

Any input would be helpful! :)

Right CPU overclock seems to fine

Thanks for the help by the way! :)

Oh and yes, im doing everything in the BIOS, im just putting up what figure Easytune is showing!.

Already ahd a Antec TruePower 2.0 430W , so checked here and most said it whould be fine so stuck with that, im not playing games so i didnt go for a new GPU, still just running my Radeon X800 GT, so i wont be needing much more juice i dont think.

Might have to soon though, but i coould REALLY do without the hassel lol.

Give these settings a try:

Limit CPUID - Disabled
C1E - Disabled
TM2 - Disabled
CPU EIST - Disabled
Virtualization - Disabled

CPU Clock Ratio (Multiplier): Default
CPU Host Frequency (FSB): 425
System Memory Multiplier: x2
Timings: 4,4,4,12
Memory voltage: +0.3 (stock voltage for the memory)
MCH voltage: +0.1
CPU voltage: +0.1 (1.425)
Memory Performance: Fast

Leave all the other voltage controls at default. That will give you 3GHz & should be stable.

Tired this, failed to boot, and reset the BIOS back to F3
