Hi, I am writing to get some help and information regarding a New build that me and a friend are wanting to do.
We are both getting a AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU with the X570 ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (No WIFI) Motherboard.
We are looking to get 64GB but wouldn't mind getting 32GB now then upgrade in the future to 64GB, while going for the 3200Mhz or possibly OC the 3200 to 3600Mhz or simply get 3600Mhz.
Below is listed some of the RAM that we would like to get but if there are any other recommendations then that would be helpful thanks, I don't really mind what the price is that you may find but preferably below £350 and RGB if possible but doesn't have to be.
Looking on the ASUS MB Memory QVL page some of the below are not listed and so we don't know if they will work.
While doing research on finding some RAM the one thing that kept popping up is Memory Rank "Single/Dual Ranked" and just can't seem to find out if any of the below DIMMS are Single or Dual Ranked.
On this same note a lot of the research findings have said that 2x DIMMs are better than 4x DIMMs but never truly mentioned about the Ranks.
For the most or best possible performance regarding Memory Ranks are we looking for 2x Dual Rank DIMMS or 4x Single Rank DIMMS? As to my understanding the maximum Ranks for the Memory Controller is 4 Ranks?
