Help from the more informed please

Hi, I was wondering if I could have some assistance, I need to replace my Dell 530 Inspiron, after along time in service!

I have looked at various computers but the reality is I have no idea what will do the job for me, so a little help would be great I have the following criteria.

General home computer, surt web youtube etc be able to run video editing software (GO PRO etc). play online games Quake live, call of duty. Ideally have some spare USB ports for phones other devices etc.

so basically what I am looking at is a all rounder budget wise I am happy at £500 to £600 I dont require moniter etc.

any assistance would be great

Is this a pc to build yourself or do you want it pre-built for you.

Hi stulid, I would be looking for a pre built machine with OS installed etc. switch on and go, if honest, I guess I would be going with windows 8.1? as XP is well and truely dunfunct, thanks

OcUk can build a PC for you for around £60 from a spec I can do, so it doesnt have to be totally off the shelf.

Hi thanks for the input, I feel I have slighty more of a idea of what will work for me now, I would never of thought about a solid state harddrive / 2 hard drives before, having one seems like a great asset. many thanks.

Yes, SSDs are great, if you have to remove a drive to keep budget down then ditch the HDD instead.
