Help, gaming light for my teenage son

Hi,

I'm renovating my house and creating a gaming room for my teenage son. I was looking at installing either this light: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Govee-Ceiling-Fixture-2200-6500K-Corridor/dp/B0CXT4W9C3 or this one: https://wtlighting.co.uk/ceiling-li...-change-ceiling-fan-light-c-w-remote-control/ (also has a ceiling fan).

Which light do you think my 16 year old would like better?

I'm posting here as I know my son likes to buy stuff for his PC from Overclockers.

If he's anything like my kids, then don't bother with lights - they live in darkness illuminated only by the glow of their monitors

Rather than specific RGB fixtures, tbh just a normal light fitting and a hue rgb bulb (or govee etc) - can easily be repurposed in the future and isn't as easily "outgrown"

What about led strip lights ? Providing a background / mood lighting rather than in your face with a single lighting point?

While i agree we sat in darkness gaming when i was younger, i wouldn't recommend it. Best to have some background lighting.

Id leave the main light and use the govee TV lights or strip lights for ambient lighting
