Hokay so i've got about 600 pounds to build myself a nice gaming machine!
I'm a complete noob to whats good and whats not at the moment, so I'd like some help please guys.

This would mainly be used to play L4D, WoW, And some others of similar or higher reqs.

This 600 wouldnt include monitor, but if you would spec a monitor with it that would be lovely. So 600 for the PC, then on top the monitor, about 800 max please.
I have no idea so I dont know where to start on whats good!

Thanks in advance!

You could maybe try and find a cheaper monitor elsewhere, 20"-22" will work well for a system like this.

I've added a CPU cooler for overclocking the E7300 CPU, which should do nicely.

I've shown vista 64bit, it'll make the most of the 4gb of ram. XP and other 32bit OS will only show around 3-3.25gb of ram.

The above spec should play the games you've mentioned without any problems.

If you want to spec it yourself, then the best starting point is the monitor. Once you have decided on what monitor (or at least what size) then you'll know what native resolution you're using, which then gives an indication if you need to go heavy on the graphics card or not.

Having said that the spec above is spot on. The only things I'd say is it's slightly over budget as it doesn't include delivery. But you may already have a HD and/or optical drive you can switch over, also have a look at your Windows license and see if you can legally delete it from your old system and stick it on your new one. Finally it's a retail CPU that's been picked, and also an aftermarket CPU cooler. You won't need the aftermarket to run at stock - however the retail may be louder, I don't know I'm afraid.
