Right. The scenario: Virgin have just installed broadband at the new house, we have a wireless router plonked downstairs. My 360 is on the third floor and without a wireless USB attachment.

My PC will be right next to it; with that I am installing a spare 802.11 wireless card to pick up the signal to get me net access. What can I do about the 360? I have a spare wireless router (VM guy left a second one even though one had come in the post). They double up as network hubs. Can use the spare wireless hub in some way that would allow me to then plug my 360 in to it and get it back online?

Thanks.

Spare wireless router you say?

See if it can be set up as a bridge, then you could get rid of the wireless card and have the PC & 360 plugged into that.

There's a crap load of services that need to be running for it to work, and even at the best of times it seems very temperamental on some systems.

There's quite a lot of info on't google, ended up running a separate hardwire for my 360 after shared connection only working 50% of the time.

Whatever you do, don't pay £60+ for the MS official 360 wireless bridge. Hunt around, you can get an alternative which does the job for not much more than half the price.

One of the computer Game stores are having a sale right now, the official usb wireless bridge is no more than £30.

Homeplugs are great, alternatively just share the connection. Not sure why that would cause any problems, it's a doddle to set up.
