Your post is very short.

Is the hard disc new or?

You need access the BIOS and set boot order etc.

HDD is not new but is clean.

Windows is not installed yeh when i press the power button the screen flashes with information then goes black with a white flashing line in the top left hand corner.

Need any more info just ask.

Thanks.

Have you got the motherboard manual?
I can't seem to get to the Asrock site at the mo, but I would guess it doesn't know what it's booting to.

I can get to http://www.asrockamerica.com/products.htm but no more :(

Something like this ...

A nice feature of this BIOS is that after pressing F11 on the POST screen you get a list of detected devices and can chose from which to boot.

Well assuming you don't have windows installed, select CD/DVD Drive as first boot device and HDD as second.
Stick windows CD in CD drive, and boot to it and install (assuming you windows CD is boot able)

Yeah, it works, you just need to install the operating system.

1. Insert the windows CD into the DVD ROM drive.
2. Reboot the PC
3. Press the button it says to go into BIOS
4. Change the boot device to CD
5. Reboot and follow instructions

edit: way too slow there. Try PS2 keyboard
