Help getting something from Photoshop into an Illustrator Path?!

Hello all, having a bit of a nightmare here! I need to change some of my graphics to illustrator paths but haven't got the foggiest idea how to do it, and I don't really know how to recreate it all in Illustrator!

Basically need them in paths so that they can be run through a vinyl cutting machine.

I need the paths for around the white thick Dirty Dirty lettering, and also the paths for the normal red Dirty Dirty lettering. Is there a way I can do this?

If I'm understanding you correctly I think the easiest way to do it would be type it out in illustrator using the type tool and then select it object >> expand and that will turn it into paths for you.

Is the image a bitmap? or do you have a .png or .psd file?
