HELP GFX CARD PROB QUICK RESPONSE NEEDED

As title, rebuilt my pc, took mainboard out etc, its NF4 Expert, try and put in my GTX again (which has been running fine no problems) in the top PCI-E slot and it says carnt init gfx card,(beeps) put it in the bottom 1 it works fine

why is this ?? Help, will the bottom slot run 16x ?

yeah the only options are 16-1-1-2 or 8-na-2-8, it was on the correct setting, no go tried with 3 graphics cards and no luck, 2nd one down works fine

im ok running a gtx at 8x pci-e arnt i ? the drop in performance wont be huge will it ?

hmmm couple 100 3dmark 06 point, 1/2 fps there, but cod2 10fps seems the top pci-e slot has snuffed it

nope no gfx card is working at all in the top slot, all wires etc are plugged in, defo works in the other one tho, tried some games and they all seem fine, so dunno really, seems ok
