Hi, I've got a really wierd problem and I'm hoping someone can help. I can't access any google web pages (i.e. google.co.uk, google.com etc). I can reach every other page I've tried and this problem exists in both IE and Firefox. Plus I can reach google quite happily from another computer on the same network. Basically it looks like it's something wrong with this machine. Now I'm guessing that this has something to do with the fact that I've just removed google desktop search - the problem started at the same time. So what do I do? I've tried everything I can think of: restarting, checking the LMHOST files etc etc. I would google for an answer but ...

Please, someone help me out of this catch 22 situation!

edit: I'm running XP and Kerio as a firewall, though the problem doesn't go away if I turn the latter off.
edit again: Clearing cache, cookies etc seems to have no effect either

Well that's really wierd. It's started working again. Seems that a combination of clearing out the cache and restarting the machine put everything right.

I have been having problems with some pages but been ok with others.

DNS lookups - Update
Our engineers have identified that the issue with DNS lookups is external to our network, and there are reports from other ISPs in the UK of similar issues occuring. We believe that this is down to DNS Propagation issues elsewhere on the internet.

As such this isn't something that we can resolve internally, though we will post a further update once more information is available.
Bah should have looked there first before spending ages trying to find a non existant virus or adware :o
