so for christmas i got the i5 2500k and p67 asrock mobo (pretty cool huh? ;P) and an extra 8gb ram :)

but when i tried booting it up after installing correctly (i say that with confidence but not certency) it immediatly said it failed and recommened me to try to fix the problem using the startup fixer which not surprisingly didnt do anyhitng except tell me and error code explaining that it could not perform a system restore heres the error code 0x80000ffff it gave me no other information of value.
my gpu by the way is 560ti pretty sweet as well :) so i was hoping i would have a new system for the new year but this seems gradually more unrealistic :(
i think it may be somehting to do with the harddrive...?? im not sure why, but its pretty old and maybe a sata1 which is not on my motherboard

thankyou and i apologise for the lack of information :S

thankyou once again :))))))

no its not old as i recall its 64bit windows pro....or ultimate
it said that the problem signature was 6.1.7600.16385 and it also said that my os versian is 6.1.76002.0.0.256.1
kinda similar arn't they?
its looking out that way surveyor

solved i think, ill restate tomoz its installing now, but its xp not win7, because it seems my win7 was corrupt -.- but then ill see if can install win again.
but with an i5 2500k processor it'll be done in no time! :D
