So just got my shiny new Sandy Bridge setup. Put my HD6950 (flashed to 6970) and...it doesn't work. It was working fine in my old motherboard but now Windows thinks its a Standard VGA Adapter and no drivers will install for it (10.11, 10.12, 10.12a). Computer starts fine no issues. BIOS is set to PEG-IGD which I hope means look for PCI-e graphics first but if not use integrated. Loads up Windows but the resolution is rubbish :(

Please help

Yes tried that still nothing.

Fresh install :( I have OEM Windows 7 (as in I have kept my HDD and just hooked it up to the new mobo) don't want to buy retail at £120.

Could it be because its OEM win7 that its not working?

Are OEM versions of windows tied to the motherboard they were first installed on?
Not sure if that would cause the problem you're having though, even if it was something to do with that.

I take it that after installing your new motherboard and graphics card then reinstalling windows that you installed all the drivers for the new motherboard first before installing the graphics card drivers?
