Help : HDD Hibernation

Hi guys

I have 2 x 1TB HDD's my 2nd storage one always seems like its in hibernate mode when not getting used then when i click on it, it takes a while to open folders. I can hear it spinning up when doing this like its doing it from idle.

My question is how can i get it to stop doing this and stay active all the time without going into an idle state ?

Going to asume your in windows 7 or vista...

Go to control pannel in the start menu > power options > advanced options for whatever power setting your using > go to the hard drive part and put in something like 999999 thats how many minuites before it goes to sleep.

I found it and changed it.

The only thing im wondering is ... is that only going to affect my HDD 1 or both my HDD's ?

well it does on mine. You should notice if it doesnt because it will hibernate again. If that happens let us know
