HELP HELP HELP! Nokia PC software in parallels wount connect to phone!!!

Hello :D

My nokia N80 is going back to 3 tomorrow and I need to backup my phone to my macbook as everything gets removed!

I have installed PC suite in parallels but when I connect my phone parallels says try connecting the phone again in 5-15secs because something is using the usb??

Please please help me as I will loose everything on my phone!!

In the menu at the top some where it goes on about devices there is a usb menu make sure that you tick next to your usb device in that menu as it doesnt always seem to connect devices automatically even if you tell it to, i.e. manually ticking the box is needed.

The damn thing still says it!!!

Its says:

USB Device you are trying to connect to the virtual machine is being used by another process. wait 5-10 seconds then try to connect again. if this does not help find the application that blocked up the device and disconnect it manually.

Grr!!!!

Perhapse iSync is using it?
 
i tried using the nokia software before too and had the same problem
now am using isync which does the job.

are you trying to backup pictures?
does the phone come with a mini SD card?

u might have to find other ways to back ** stuff up.

I'm trying to backup the software on the phone and all the contacts.

I just rang to say it can't be collected tomorrow :(

Just after I phoned I then remembered my mums windows laptop is downstairs!!!!!!!!

I'm so annoyed right now its unreal!!!

I will just have to back it up on her windows laptop then. Shame really first problem I have had with parallels!

You have got the latest version of Parallels haven't you? I think they recently updated it and one of the improvements was better USB support.
