Right, basically my bros PC will not install MoH:A yet it completes the process..

trying it on my PC results in physicx stuff being installed (which doesn't happen on his).

So basically, why is this happening and how do I fix it without any time to reinstall OR no errors to tell me WTF is happening.

Any ideas?

(PS: I haven't googled this time as I have tonnes of other things to do - probably easy fix aswell lol)

Anyway cheers.

done a restart?

done a disk clean up on the drive your installing onto?

made sure the system can run it?

Well I had assumed that you'd all know me well enough that I would have already checked all this! :p

I've done windows update, clean up etc etc etc and still nothing.

It's my old system and is more than capable of playing it at high.

CR.

Edit: Installed fine on mine (even tho it took FOREVER)

You have to have windows firewall service enabled for the install or it will do a rollback.

I made a point of unistalling demo and the Physx stuff just in case it caused any problems and it seemed to be ok (on Vista 64). It did take an age to install though, must have been about 15 minutes

As mentioned you need to have Windows Firewall enabled as it does something to it while installing, taking this from a different forum.

I found this on EA's forums. If your install of MOHA craps out at the very end without an error at all, try this.

1. Enable MS ICS.

Yes children, EA wants to modify your access list:

A change has been made to the Windows Firewall application exception list.

Policy origin: Local Policy
Profile changed: Standard
Change type: Add
New Settings:
Name: Medal of Honor Airborne
Path: D:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Medal of Honor Airborne\UnrealEngine3\Binaries\MOHA.exe
State: Enabled
Scope: All subnets
Old Settings:
Name: -
Path: -
State: -
Scope: -

So, EA not only doesn't tell you you have to have ICS running IN ORDER TO JUST INSTALL THE DAMN GAME, it wants to change security on your pc without telling you. I use ZA, so I had to start the ICS service to install the game. I then turned it off. The fixes posted on the EA forums changed throughout the day, and I had tried those plus what EA support asked me to try (updated installshield, stopping ALL procs except the ones that would crash your pc if they weren't running).
