Connect a Shuttle to a Plasma TV?

So far Ive tried Scart to S-video with a bad picture!

S-Video to S-video which was a stunning picture but when I connected the sound I basically got none!

I should be getting a DVI to SVGA cable tomorrow but obviously this wont jhelp my sound problems.

Any ideas?

You may find that they are pre-outs not ins

Connectors:

RGB Input

Component Input 1,2 (Y/Cb/cR)

Scart x 2

Video Input/Output

S_Video Input

------------------------------------------------------------------------

PC Input mode to 1280*1024

SDTV Resolution upto 720*576 50hz

HDTV Resolution upto 1920*1080 30hz or 1080i

Have a look in the TV on screen menu..
There should be a setting to set the audio in to work with which Video input your using (i.e AV1,AV2,AV3 or something like this)

And check that the audio input on the TV onscreen display is not set to digital.(This is only if your plasma has digital audio inputs)

Plus it's not possible to get a cable to go from DVI to SVGA (DVI is a Digital signal and SVGA is a Analogue signal).

That's not strictly true, DVI-D is purely digital but DVI-A is analogue and DVI-I is both so it depends on what the TV has as to whether you get a picture.
Normally on TVs the S-video and composite video share a channel (AV3) so you should be able to use S-video with composite audio. Sounds like you tried this but it should work. If not you may need to use some computer or hi-fi speakers.

Darn you! Beat me to it! ;)

I agree with -=BAF=-AXE!

Would be the best solution. Great picture as you've already managed to get along with great sound!

Have you got any stereo or surround equiptment you can use?

finally sorted it

the dvi cable didnt work maybe because my card is a 5200 with no dvi

however I went back to svideo and found its audio points and now it works well

now play some dvd's using ffdshow and the zoom player and be prepared to be really impressed!
