I was trying to fix a friends computer. I downloaded a tool called GParted and was attempting to install it on a USB drive so I could boot from it to format my friends computer (long story). Anyway, I accidentally formatted the windows 8 boot/system partition or whatever it is called.
At the time, I thought it was the Lenovo manufacturers partition which has the OS installation files on it, so I wasn't worried. I used my laptop all day yesterday without any issues.
This morning, it ran out of battery so I guess it was booting up from scratch and without this boot/system partition thing, it won't boot. I just realized that this system/boot partition thing is actually an important part of windows when you install it and it wasn't a manufacturers partition.
Currently it loads up this GParted tool.
How do I fix this?
