Apologies, I am posting in the right board now.

Guys

For the last year or so I have been using an Acer Aspire 5535 laptop after my PC died. I use the PC for the internet and WoW.

The lappy is now only able to play wow for about 20 minutes on the lowest settings before hitting 100c and shutting itself off. I have tried all the usual but now need to get a PC again and I have a very limited budget. Add to this the fact that I haven't built a system for 5 years.

So, could any of you point me in the right direction of what to look for? As I said, this is just for WoW and the internet, but being able to run WoW on anything higher than minimum settings would be nice.

I have an old case which is not great with a 400w PSU and I am guessing that this just will not cut it now.

The challenging part....The maximum budget would be £300. Sorry

Thank you for any help that you can offer.

when you say tried all the usual does that mean cleaning the lappy out, reseating the cooler etc ?

also, as per stulid what else do you need, monitor/keyboard etc

I will assume you need a complete tower unit excluding a operating system (if you do need one then things are going to to be seriously cut back)
