Out of curiosity, does apple crumble actually contain apple?

Are you kidding me? o.O

To be fair it is a legitimate question, just surprised that you don't know :p

Do you think Mince pies contain mince meat? :)

That's a bit harsh to be fair on my part, and am only messing with you :)

But yeah basically, you take a bunch of apples (cooking variety), peel and core them, boil them in a small amount of water, add some raisins/cinnamon (if you wish) for the main part of the mixture.
The crumble is basically flour/butter, and maybe add in some sugar :)

On a side note (and in line with the OP) I had some for lunch which I'd made myself tbh/gf made it...

Lolol.

Google would tell you, but apple crumble's basically a cooked dessert which consists of apple (chopped + cooked, not whole, before someone says!) with a crumble layer on top (made with sugar/butter/flour).

Not a fan, but my younger brother and mother used to make it all the time, when I was a kid :|.

Nitefly, I'm actually concerned about you haha.

God, seems like people actually think I asked that seriously - see the thread I posted above, I'm not that dense  :p

Well it's a legitimate question. Rice crispies don't contain rice and cheese cake doesn't contain cheese.

Cheese cake does contain cheese. A cheese cake is made with sweetened soft cheese like Philadelphia or ricotta.

Also rice crispies do contain rice. They are made from rice and sugar paste.
