Help identify car please

Was watching saturday kitchen this morning and in one of the clips they show there was this car in the background. What is it?

looks like some old mustang, but then they usually have thos efunny rear lights

I recognise it, don't think its a kit car but can't recall what it is. Italian I feel.

Yep that's an aston. The number plate was a clue too iirc. Yes I watched saturday kitchen and enjoyed it! Not sure I would cook that pigeon though.

As said, Aston Virage. Shame about the mk2 Scirocco rear lights!

Such a dissapointment when supercar manufacturers use other's lights:
