hey all,

I have a PC here that I'm reinstalling windows on for a new user. (work stuff)

Sadly the machine is a old MAXDATA one and I can't find them listed on the web. I've been told that they have gone bust quite a while ago.

I have 3 drivers missing from this machine. LAN, Graphic and sound.

Is there a way of identifying the hardware in the machine so I can look for a driver from the hardware manufacture??

I've been searching the net for days now but found next to nothing.

I thought my google-fu was quite strong, but apparently not!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

legend!!

Why didn't I look there before??!??

Anyways, I've got the drivers I need now, so thank you very much.

One of the easiest ways is to to go onto the device's properties then details and google the hardware IDs.

wasn't there. Hence why I was looking for the device id.

I've since realized that the machine only has sp! so that might explain why.

cheers anyways.

:)
