I recently had to take my radiator off to fix a problem behind it and due to the age (probably - or someone over keen!) the top of the lockshield sheared off and I can no longer turn the radiator back on.

It doesn't seem to be a standard fitting though! The pipes are seem to be standard 15mm but I'm drawing a blank finding something that will replace the fixture -

Any advice welcome, thank you. :)

As above.the tail unscrews off of the valve and leaves a large nut.maybe isolate rad remove old valve .take a trip to wicked/screw fixation and get a replacement

Pro tip - I always find names of plumbing products never match that of the description.

That valve that @BaroUK2 linked is called "Wickes Radiator Lockshield Valve 15x12mm" but it's acctually 15mm x 1/2in, as per the desription.

Seems to be exactly what you need.

Thanks everyone, the key part seems to be changing the tail in the radiator. :)

I've looked at it a couple of times but it seems to be about as good condition as the valve and quite rounded! I'm sure some tool will manage to undo it...

I should have said 'every radiator tail of that size'.

If it hasn't got flats on the outside it should have a hex on the inside.

You usually see flats where the smaller nut is used.
